About Us
PAIRS (Parkinson's and Intergenerational Relationship Support) is an intergenerational public service initiative for individuals living with Parkinson's disease and college students in Orange County.
PAIRS was founded by Noah Kim, who drew inspiration from volunteering with the Parkinson's community, living with his grandparents, and serving in senior centers in college. Through these experiences, he saw the importance of social connection and lifestyle improvements for living and aging well. Funded by the Donald A. Strauss Foundation, PAIRS provides individuals with Parkinson's opportunities to stay active and connected, while developing the leadership skills of the college volunteers.
Mission
PAIRS aims to create a supportive intergenerational community that encourages healthy, active lifestyles among individuals with Parkinson’s disease while developing future healthcare and public service leaders.
Vision
Participants will belong to an intergenerational community that encourages healthy living and have opportunities to share their wisdom and experience with the younger generation.

Our Key Services
PAIRS Leaders coordinate walking groups at public parks in Orange County. These social walks are meant to be accessible, enjoyable, and a fun way to stay active.
Based on established research, seminars explore how lifestyle factors impact Parkinson's and how to take practical steps toward positive change. Family members and caregivers are welcome and all seminars are recorded.
Participants and PAIRS Leaders engage in one-on-one conversations to talk through practical lifestyle changes and set personal wellness goals. Leaders offer encouragement and accountability, and participants share their wisdom and life experiences.
